Intro

Sathyaprakash was born in a small village, "Sholavandan" in Madurai district on 18th march 1990. His dad Mr.Dharmar worked for a newspaper company in Coimbatore and his mom Pitchaiammal is a home maker. Sathya did his schooling at Mani Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore (2007) and completed his B.E Mechanical engineering from Maharaja Engineering college, Avinashi (2011). 

Music

It was at the age of 8, he started learning Carnatic music with the fullest support of his grandfather Late. Tamil vidhwan Thiru.Ramaiah Pillai, and took up basic vocal classes with Late. Kannaiah Naidu & Smt.Selvakumari. Mrs. TC Chitra, Retired LIC development officer in coimbatore was a great rasika of music took Sathya to Pandanallur Dr.Chandrashekara Bhagavatar in Saibaba colony for his advanced music training. 

Dr. Pandanallur Chandrashekara Bhagavatar is from a traditional Nadhaswaram and Bharathanatyam family, and also worked with legendary composer Ramanada iyer at his young age. He was a teaching faculty in thiruvaiyar music college and devoted the rest of his life for music.  Dr. Pandanallur Chandrashekara Bhagavatar and Dr.Sathish kumar, Founder trustee of Rajalakshmi fine arts, Coimbatore were his great pillars of support. 

Awards and Achievements

As a Carnatic and Light music vocalist he has performed at various reputed sabhas like Hamsadhwani, Chennai; Nada Inbam,Chennai; Rajalakshmi Fine Arts, Coimbatore and many more from the age of 12 and it still continues. He secured First prize in the state level carnatic music competition held by “The New Indian Express“ during the year 2003, 2004 & 2005 in Coimbatore. Added to the credentials he won the first Prize in carnatic music competition held by Kerala Cultural Centre in the year 2003 with the "Kalaprathibha award". Rotary club of metropolis, Coimbatore awarded him with the title "Young achiever" in October 2011. Sathya was awarded title "Voice of the world" by the Lions club, Chennai (September 2011);  “Youth excellence award” for the year 2012-2013 from Lions club, Coimbatore (December 2012). 

Sathya participated in a most popular Vijay tv talent show, Supersinger season 3 and got the "Best performer of the Grand finale" award by the leading musician judges. The Supersinger reality show changed him into a playback singer. 

He's now working with music composers like Isaippuyal AR.Rahman, Isaignani Ilayaraja, Vidhyasagar, GV Prakash kumar, Anirudh Ravichander, D Imman, Santhosh Narayanan, Sean Roldan, Sathya Chidambaram, Kannan, Simon, Justin prabahkaran, NR Raghunandan and so many others. 

He has sung more than 60 movie songs and some of his notable chartbusters are

He has received

"The Vijay Tele award" (September 2015) from Vijay tv for the favorite singer category for the song "Ammadi un azhagu" from the movie Vellaikkaradurai. 

"MGR-Shivaji academy award" (January 2016) from TTPTU for the best playback singer male category for the song "Aanaalum indha mayakkam" from the movie 10 Endrathukkulla.
